Jeff Stibbard, P.Eng.
President & CEO
Jeff is the Founder and President of JDS Energy & Mining. He is a Mining Engineer with expertise in mine design, construction and operation. Mr. Stibbard has served or continues to serve as a Technical Advisor to numerous mining companies including Capstone Mining Corp. (formerly Sherwood Copper Corp.), Stornoway Diamond Corp., Tenajon Resources Corp. and MegaMoly Corp. His extensive experience includes: Mining Manager, BHP Ekati Diamond Mine which included initial design, permit and construction of the project. He served as the General Manager of Mining, Albian Sands Energy Inc., Fort McMurray. He was accountable for leading the design, ... construction and operation of the 450,000 tpd Muskeg River Oilsand Mine and Tailings Dyke. Prior to Albian Sands, he was one of the original founding members of Western Oilsands Inc. a 20% partner in the development of the Shell Muskeg River Mine, Fort McMurray. Since founding JDS in 2005, the company has been involved in the design, permit, construction, operation and maintenance of multiple successful projects. He has also served as a Director of Stornoway Diamond Corp. Mr. Stibbard received a BASc. in Mining Engineering, from the Montana School of Mines in 1987.

Chief Financial Officer
Freedom is a senior accounting professional with over 20 years experience in both private and public practice. She has lead accounting teams on large-scale Oil Sands projects, been responsible for municipal accounting compliance and was an instructor for college level accounting and finance courses. As one of the original members of the JDS team she brings extensive business and investment knowledge and assists JDS and their clients in managing the financial requirements of the company and as well as all projects JDS undertakes.
Jeff Lawson
Chief Operating Officer
Jeff is a senior leader that brings over 25 years of business growth and development. Jeff's early background comes from the Agri Food business where Jeff was the President of an international poultry genetic company. During this time Jeff was instrumental in developing a regional operation into an international business with a sales increase growth of over 600%. Jeff understands directly what it takes to build, grow and lead JDS into the future.
His ability to communicate, his team approach and common sense management style are attributes that make Jeff an effective leader.
Gordon Bussieres
V.P. Construction
A long term JDS employee, Gordon has been with the company since its inception and has participated in every major project undertaken. Over seeing all JDS field operations with particular attention to project reporting, site safety and logistics management, Gordon's attention to detail and organizational control ensures projects remain on budget and on schedule. He has over 20 years of industry experience with a proven track record for completing of projects on time and within budget. Gord worked as a Project Manager on Farallon Resources' $150M G-9 Project in Mexico. He was a Construction Manager at Sherwood Copper's $100M Minto Mine and before that he was Mine Manager and Expansion Manager at the $2B Muskeg River Mine in Alberta.
Wayne Corso
V.P. Engineering
Wayne has been with JDS since 2007, but has had a long professional relationship with the principles of the company. He received his Mining Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines in 1984 and got his start in the Mining industry underground at the Homestake mine. Since then Wayne has, through positions of increasing responsibility, planned, coordinated, and directed resources and activities for a wide variety of projects first for Homestake and later for BHP Minerals. From the BHP Minerals Mine services group, he supported exploration, new business development and operations with engineering analysis and economic evaluations for various projects. He was eventually recruited to join the bulk sampling and development team at Ekati Diamonds in Canada's NWT where he played an instrumental part in the permitting and development of the project.
Wayne brings engineering and management skills to the team along with a dose of practical creativity aimed at making projects work. He brings knowledge from a diverse portfolio of experience ranging from successfully managing high-tech projects with a low-tech mindset, to getting the most out of a local gravel operation, to keeping a team focused on the prize in multimillion dollar projects.
Daniel Johnson, P. Eng.
V.P. Business Development
Dan is the Owner and President of DDJ & Associates LLC, with association to JDS Energy & Mining Inc. He is a Civil Engineer, Professional Mining Engineer, MBA Finance with 30+ years experience and expertise mine design, construction, operations finance and corporate management. Dan has designed, constructed and operated mines, as well as run public companies. He is an accomplished leader in the mining industry; proven, delivered results throughout a progressive career in the construction and resource business from construction engineer, project engineer, operations superintendent, mine manager, project develop manager, general manager, company CEO and President. Dan has the unparalleled ability to assess complex information quickly, recognize opportunity, simplify the necessary tasks, and communicate convincingly in order to attract and retain both intellectual and financial capital necessary to execute successfully. Dan serves or has served as Technical Advisor and/or Director to several mining companies including Diamond Fields International, Mountain Province Diamonds, The Morley Group and Wolfden Resources.
Kevin Mather
V.P. Project Development
Kevin is a highly driven, self-motivated, young mining and construction executive with 13 years as a contractor in the Canadian resource industry. He is an astute decision maker, known for delivering results, frequently promoted to leadership roles and continually selected to tackle the most difficult projects. Kevin has a desire to expand resource experience into positions that include permitting, exploration, mineral processing and facility design and construction.
