Aurizona Project
Overview
The Aurizona gold project is located in northeast Brazil between the cities of São Luis and Belém. The main orebody, Piaba, is a 2.9 km long orogenic gold deposit hosted in the Proterozoic Aurizona greenstone belt.
Scope of Work
JDS Energy & Mining Inc. has been retained by Luna Gold Corp. since July 2010 to assist with the development of a world-class gold mine in the remote regions of Brazil. The integrated involvement of JDS in the project has encompassed design review, as-built review and affirmation, process testing and optimization, mine operations planning, Gold mil commissioning, plant maintenance, project management and project delivery.
