Nick is a self-motivated, team player, who first joined JDS in 2012. He spent the formative years of his career as well as the first five years at JDS on various project sites in Canada, the United States, and internationally. In his 13 plus years of professional experience, he has worked on a variety of different projects ranging from multibillion dollar energy projects to smaller 800tpd mines. Nick has developed an expertise working on remote site locations and in adverse weather conditions.
Immediately following his graduation from Mechanical Engineering at McGill University, Nick worked as a Field Engineer and began his practical engineering experience. Throughout his career, he has held various positions on the front lines of project execution and is therefore intimately acquainted with all phases of project lifecycle; from conceptual studies, to pre-job planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout. Nick led the JDS Team on site during the successful construction of the De Beers / Mountain Province Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine Project. As someone who has been responsible for project execution, Nick truly understands the value of the JDS ‘fit for purpose’ approach to project design and description.
