Romero
JDS led GoldQuest's revised Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Romero gold-copper project in Dominican Republic, focusing on a smaller, high-grade underground mine. The 2015 PEA delivered significant enhancements: 2.7-year capital payback, nine-year underground operation at 2,500 tpd (912,500 tpa) averaging 117,000 recovered gold equivalent ounces annually, 86% indicated resources (6.6Mt) with remaining resources available for future extraction, and reduced environmental footprint without on-site cyanide use. JDS and GoldQuest improved project economics to 34% after-tax IRR and C$219M NPV. JDS was subsequently retained in mid-2016 to advance the project to Pre-Feasibility Study.

Karma
JDS completed an independent NI 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment for True Gold's Karma Project in Burkina Faso. With gold mineralization subject to an oxidation profile affecting metallurgical response, JDS evaluated heap leach and carbon-in-leach (CIL) extraction processes to determine the optimal development strategy and explored economics of mining and treating supplemental refractory material.

Myra Falls
JDS provided comprehensive underground mine planning for Nyrstar's Myra Falls operation in BC, including on-site support, long-term development planning, and production scheduling. Recent work focused on capital expenditure analysis, surface access evaluation, and production optimization options. JDS performed all underground project management, engineering, and economic trade-off studies.

Mary River
JDS provided mine planning and field engineering support to Baffinland's Mary River iron ore mine in Nunavut starting in 2015. JDS developed a five-year production plan and mine design meeting ore grades, production rates, and project-specific parameters; reviewed and audited mining department data management with implementation of new tracking systems and reporting tools; and improved ore transportation to port through cycle time assessment, haul road review, corrective engineering design, and implementation.
